METAL BUILDING COMPONENTS
We have a variety of components available for the public, contractors, and
government. Delivery is not included in our quotes unless requested, but
is available in our normal service area.
SHEETING:
We receive weekly shipments of high-quality steel sheeting for roofs and walls,
as well as standard and custom trim. We stock some lengths and profiles,
and can usually order exactly what you need within a week or two. We have
several alternate sources to increase the profile and color availability, but
the lead time and
freight costs may be slightly higher.
The majority of sheeting will have a 36" coverage and a major rib every
12". We primarily use 26 gauge sheeting. 24 gauge
(thicker) is very
limited in color and profile selection. We rarely use the thinner 29 gauge unless there
is a plywood substrate.
Our most common steel corrugated sheeting profiles we use are Multirib, PBR,
super-span, Mega Rib, HR-36, and 7.2 rib.
There are many corrugation profiles and colors available, so most sheeting
orders are custom. We also have access to the new "Cool Color" paints to reduce
heat transference. We use Hylar / Kynar equivalent colors (the best commercial paint
in the industry). Paint is factory baked enamel over primer and a galvanized
substrate, with a limited 20 year factory warranty. Standard pricing is
available for any length and quantity.
ACCESSORIES:
Standard and custom trim is available, as well as fiberglass skylights in the
common profiles, mastic sealant, and foam closures. Engineering data
sheets are available if needed for an engineered structure.
We stock a large inventory of steel-to-steel (self-drilling tek) screws in common colors and wood
screws in white and zinc coated. Color wood (and other screws) can be ordered .
PURLINS:
ZEE and CEE purlins are available in practically any length. Purlins have
better engineering properties and connection methods than pipe trusses.
They are available plain, punched for bolts, or
with welded sleeves. For smaller custom roof systems, we can even provide
pipe columns with shop welded purlin "saddles" for many applications.
They are available in C or Z shapes. Standard web depths are 4", 6", 8",
10", and 12". Standard flanges are 2.5" or 3.5", in 12, 14, and 16
gauge. They are G-90 galvanized coated. A variety of eave struts,
rake angles, and custom sections are available. Galvanized is standard,
but red oxide primer is available.
